Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday.

This post is for a full time permanent Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for West Dunbartonshire Toer 2 CAMHS team. Newly qualifying or soon to qualify Psychologists are welcome to apply. It is a full time post but applicants requiring less hours will be considered.

You will be expected to be involved in the delivery and governance of psychological therapies in the service and to work with other senior clinicians and the Service Manager to manage waiting times and deliver a high quality clinical service in line with Scottish Government Local Delivery Plan waiting times.

You will be part of a grouping of more than 100 psychologists in Specialist Children's Services and of around 350 psychologists in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. There are good links both to the West of Scotland Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme (University of Glasgow) and to the MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People (University of Edinburgh).

We would welcome applications from Clinical/ Counselling Psychologists with experience of service delivery and management and of working with complex cases, particularly in a Tier 3 CAMHS Service.
