Full Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Principal Structural Engineer, ideally with some Marine / Naval Arc / Subsea experience, to join our team for various marine projects and floating asset EPC contracts.
What you will do:
- Design, analyse, and modify structures for oil and gas facilities, including both topsides and hull structures for floating assets, such as:
- Significant brownfield modifications (equipment supports, modular installations, etc)
- Input & review of marine operations/interactions and how these affect the local structural designs (as CTV boat landings, emergency towing arrangements, mooring replacements, thruster replacements, riser pull ins, Walk to Work, etc)
- Asset integrity work, including local repairs and fatigue improvements
- Consider fabrication/constructability/installation techniques
- Lifting aid design and contribution to LOLER lift plans
- Engineering Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Chartered Engineer preferred.
- Strong abilities with Staad.Pro and MathCAD essential.
- Brownfield project experience essential.
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the brownfield oil and gas industry. Marine, Naval Architecture, Subsea or general floating asset experience preferred.
- Necessary certification for travel offshore
- Experience in providing technical support and supervising other engineers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills

Provide technical support to the Lead Engineer and other disciplines
Provide supervision, direction and support for the team
