A little about the school itself; Doune Primary is a co-educational, non-denominational school with nursery for children from 2 to 12 years of age. The school occupies a picturesque site enjoying views across fields and woodland towards Doune Castle.

Doune Primary is a single-storey building with eight classrooms, open learning areas, PE facilities indoors and out and even a “kids’ kitchen”. The grounds include play equipment, a fitness gym and trim trail, a wildlife garden with pond, three asphalt play areas and a 1.5 acre playing field.
