Full Job Description

Here at Westhill, we design and manufacture a range of underwater capability products such as diving equipment and rebreathers. As a Production Controller you will liaise with the sales team, run reports and accurately manage routings and building instructions for all products via the in-house system (Glovia). You will oversee master planning schedule (MPS) of these products and ensure timely processing to accommodate both material lead times and client deliveries. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administration, communication and problem solving skills.

Your key responsibilities will also include:

  • Review work instruction, structures and routings to create work orders in a timely manner to meet workshop requirements. Compile work packs for distribution to workshop.

  • Maintaining data entry applications to ensure system information is up to date including updating design changes to open work orders.

  • Creation of Work Packs to allow all JFD products to flow efficiently through process by creating detailed work instructions along with defined engineering documents.

  • Co-Ordination of w/o processing on major/new products to ensure efficient flow through the system from point of order to delivery and report to project manager where required.

  • Close completed work orders and ensure all transactions are completed and ensure no work orders are left completed but not closed at the end of each month.

  • Ensure all work production work packs are electronically archived in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and monitor Work in Progress (WIP) for all JFD departments.

  • Point of contact for MPS/PRP planning queries.

    You will need to have experience in office administration along with MRP systems.

  • Be a good communicator and natural problem-solver with a willingness to take ownership and accountability of issues and make decisions.

  • Ability to engage and motivate others and be a strong team-player.
