Production Manager- Material Supply

Managing a team you will manage materials supply function for Bakkavor Meals Bo'ness.

You will lead and motivate the teams and drive both individual and functional performance and material efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Pro-actively managing Health & Safety
- Leading and driving standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within your area through Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.)
- Supporting and encouraging the Bakkavör values and a positive culture within your area, whilst fostering good employee relations
- The recruitment of direct reports and an involvement in all staff recruitment within your area
- Review processes and drive continuous improvement within the team
- Ensure forecast is reviewed and updated.
- Review potential disposals and address root cause issues
- Engender an approach within the team that is production facing and that which would be expected from a support function.
- Ensure stock value is understood and levels challenged in all units.
- Ensure that representation at the daily operations review meeting.
- Liaise with production areas and support functions to pro-actively manage any upcoming issues.
- Supplier relationships
- Attend weekly S&OP meetings.
- Issue weekly KPI pack to site execs.
- Hold a regular Planning/Materials Control meeting.
- Enhance the team performance through development, performance management and recruitment.

What you will needYou will ideally have experience working in a food manufacturing environment and will have led teams in a fast paced manufacturing business. You will understand retailer expectations and how we meet them.You will be a great leader capable of inspiring and engaging your team, understanding the pressure of a factory environment.

Our Bakkavor business in Bo'ness, based near Falkirk, specialises in the production of fresh, high quality salad products working primarily with premium retailers. To give you a sense for the scale of manufacturing in Bo'ness we produce over 70million salad based meals and side dishes from our 2 manufacturing facilities employing over 1200 people in the town.

Salary: £42,000
- £46,000 per annum (depending on experience)Working Hours: 13.30
