Full Job Description

We are looking for Production Operators to join our busy Sawmill. You will be part of a
team responsible for creating a range of timber products as well as moving, sorting and
packing the timber. The role involves a high degree of manual handling, lifting bending and
twisting.

There are two sets of hours operating:
07:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
07:00 - 18:30, Monday to Friday, 4 of these days per week


Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manual handling of timber

  • Ensuring good housekeeping of workstations

  • Operating sawmilling machinery

  • Adhering to all Health, Safety and Quality standards and instructions

  • Operation of Mobile Plant Vehicles

  • Working towards set production targets

    Good communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team to achieve production goals and meet required standards

  • Can follow written work instructions

  • Must undertake all necessary training

  • Have a flexible approach to work, understanding that you may undertake additional or

  • other duties necessary to meet the needs of the company
  • Have experience of working in a manufacturing/construction environment

    businesses.
