Full Job Description

To effectively oversee production and yard operations, along with associated assets and personnel, ensuring safety and efficiency through meticulous planning, organisation, and performance management. This includes meeting operational needs in alignment with Company/Client policies, industry best practices, and legal requirements.

Additionally, to supervise the planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance of assets and equipment, prioritising safety and efficiency while adhering to operational requirements, quality standards, environmental objectives, and Company/Client protocols.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day production operations, assets, and equipment in the yard.

  • Ensuring safe management of yard operations and assets in compliance with Company standards, ISO 9001/14001/18001, and all relevant statutory regulations.

  • Assisting in vessel mobilisation for contract assignments upon request.

  • Ensuring department personnel possess proper qualifications, receive adequate training, and maintain certification standards.

  • Monitoring and managing expenditure within budgetary constraints and allocating costs for shared services.

  • Identifying opportunities for business development to optimise asset/service utilisation and generate additional revenue.

  • Supervising vessel repair and maintenance within the vessel technical department.

  • Collaborating closely with Marine and Technical Superintendents.

  • Handling recruitment and selection processes for workshop personnel.

    A background in Marine Engineering with a degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Experience in shipyard or shipbuilding environments would be advantageous.
