We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer work place accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role., Within the M&G Wealth change portfolio, this programme/project manager role will be responsible for delivery of key business transformation projects with budget responsibility of up to £3m. You will have end to end responsibility to ensure outcome(s) are delivered within the agreed perimeters.
This is a business change transformation role not an IT programme/project manager role. Preferred candidates will ideally come from a similar business transformation role with 'hands on' experience of delivering significant business transformational change within tight timescales, taking end to end delivery responsibility working across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of target business outcomes., Hands on and personal end to end responsibility for the delivery of a major business change programme, ensuring clear agreement on the required outcomes and realisation of the benefits as defined in the business case. Shapes the programme to drive optimum delivery of outcomes, including planning at the level appropriate to the complexity of the programme and structuring and sequencing an appropriate set of initiatives. Motivates, builds and leads the multi-disciplinary delivery team effectively, including monitoring all 3rd party delivery and dependencies, and is the point of escalation for the most significant issues. Proactively monitors and reviews all programme delivery and economics, including deliverable production, costs, staffing requirements and resources. Ensures appropriate and effective monitoring, assurance and governance arrangements in place, supported by appropriate reporting. Articulates and manages the overall risk exposures across the programme, driving a common
understanding amongst stakeholders and effecting appropriate trade-offs to reduce risk exposure and increase confidence in the programme. Supports the Portfolio Lead in board level stakeholder management gaining buy-in to the programme's objective and scope, recognising the politics, change taking place across the organisation and external impacts. Excellent people skills able to communicate effectively from delivery team up to Executive/Board level to ensure that that senior stakeholders are properly briefed. Proactively communicates across all levels to ensure direction, scope and progress of the programme is understood and transparent with no surprises. Understands the principles of business transformation and is able to translate these principles into business/people change activities and project/programme deliverables.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Action oriented and "can do" attitude to the successful delivery of the target business outcomes within tight timescales. Proven track record of working in fast paced agile environments primarily focussed on delivery of business change programmes & projects. Experience of managing and working in cross functional teams (including partners) across business and technology teams. Experience contributing to, and achieving, continuous improvement goals. Experience of monitoring and reporting in a programme & project environment Experience of delivery through a full programme & project lifecycle Experience of managing stakeholders across a range of business areas and different levels reporting up to Executive/Board level. Experience of programme governance and producing quality project documentation to meet governance standards. Working knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors Working knowledge of financial services regulation and legislation
frameworks Working knowledge of risk management principles and their impacts on projects Working knowledge of project methodologies, planning processes and techniques
