Full Job Description

Three Bridges Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant for a leading Scottish based charity. This is a great opportunity to work for an organisation with a fantastic cause, who have a great team and operate a flat operational structure. The role will be ideal for applicants who have previously worked on ad-hoc finance projects. This job is a 6 month contract.

Job

The job of Project Accountant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Act as finance lead for significant organisational projects
  • Collaborate with finance & non-finance managers on the Finance Management Improvement Programme
  • Develop & implement key financial policies & procedures
  • Provide robust financial advice & input into major project decisions
  • Deliver financial training to non-finance managers, aiding organisational understanding of financial policies
  • Support efficiency initiatives, identifying potential savings & contributing to business case development
  • Assist in a range of duties as directed by senior finance staff

 

You

As Project Accountant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Capable of carrying out the duties listed above
  • Accountancy qualifications are not essential for this role
  • Substantial management accounting experience in a complex environment
  • Ability to work within a project setting and deliver on objectives
  • Excellent computer-based management accounting system knowledge, including Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a strong team ethos
