Full Job Description

Peace Recruitment is working alongside a well-established family-owned civil engineering contractor who is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of our flagship distillery project and manage commercial and residential developments in Inverness. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects while ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures to maximize profitability.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to promote collaboration and achieve project objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams to promote a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on civil engineering projects.
  • Sound knowledge of contract management principles, construction methods, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
