Full Job Description

Job Purpose: To drive and support strategic improvement through the Highland Council, focusing on efficiently delivering business outcomes in line with our strategic requirements. The post holder will work as part of the Strategic Improvement Team, engaging with the Council's business units and the Councils wider Transformation Programme to lead & co-ordinate the design, build and delivery of solutions to support the transformation of business processes and functions.

The team will play a critical part in the Council's work to digitally transform service delivery and the Project Manager will play a key role in aligning resource across the ICT Team covering a variety of project and work packages as well as managing a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, in order that the required business outcomes are achieved.

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate/business/digital and technology related subject; or Relevant industry specific qualification(s); or Extensive relevant proven experience that demonstrates a similar level of knowledge and understanding.

  • Experience of working in a similar role within a complex Project/Programme environment which has delivered significant business improvement and change.
