The Property Department of NHS Tayside is looking to recruit a Property Asset Officer.

This post will be responsible to deliver strategic and operational solutions for NHS Tayside in relation to effective asset management.

This is a multi-faceted role managing an extensive Property portfolio to provide support to NHS Taysides Board and executive management team ensuring that our premises are well utilised and effectively and efficiently meet the demands of the organisation.

The post holder will assist in the delivery of a property asset management strategy and should demonstrate a track record of innovation and an ability to monitor complex projects. 

You will hold either a relevant construction degree or equivalent professional/vocational qualification underpinned by the ability to demonstrate the skills to fully deliver this multi-faceted role.

The post offers a unique opportunity to enhance and greatly contribute to the Property Department and the Boards performance in NHS Scotland and requires commitment and drive to ensure that NHS Tayside performs effectively and efficiently in the delivery of property asset management.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are:  37 hours per week

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
