Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00 (37.5 hours).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Health Improvement Team to support NHSGGC to deliver high quality patient and public health information and develop and deliver the health literacy action plan, ensuring the NHS workforce and partner agencies are upskilled in this area and projects are delivered to improve navigation to health & wellbeing information and support.

You will have a particular focus on widening access to health information and resources and proven experience of working within NHS information and/or resource provision and extensive knowledge of information management systems. 

You will be educated to degree level in Health Improvement, Public Health or related subject such as communications, user experience or information and knowledge management and have supplemented this with specialist public health improvement knowledge or post graduate training or experience. You will have demonstrable project management experience and be able to evidence knowledge and skills in health improvement and addressing inequalities.
