Full Job Description

Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to bring to market an exciting 2m FTC with a hugely successful manufacturing business based in Penicuik. 

With over 30 years' of expertise within their niche, this organisation have consistently grown from strength to strength and are well known within their space as the go-to experts. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance team in their AP processing duties, placing a focus on the following areas:


• Managing the Finance email inbox, handling invoices, supplier statements, and addressing inquiries promptly.

• Overseeing the processing of Purchase Invoices/Credit notes, including handling delivery notes, registering on the system, seeking approvals, managing payments, and resolving issues promptly.

• Ensuring timely maintenance of supplier setup/updates on crucial systems.

• Conducting quarterly reviews of supplier statements.

• Efficiently organising and safeguarding commercially sensitive or highly confidential files and documents, ensuring easy accessibility and up-to-date information at all times.

• Upholding and enforcing adherence to relevant SOPs, supporting reviews as needed.

• Providing assistance to the finance team during audit periods, aiding in document retrieval and general support.

• Contributing to continual improvement by participating in team evaluations of work methods and performance.

• Ensuring full compliance of processes and documentation with Internal Controls.

• Engaging in continuous training and assessment within an internal program, aiding in optimising departmental workflows.

• Undertaking additional duties as reasonably requested by the Company.

• Executing all responsibilities in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and relevant regulatory requirements.

 

To be successful in this position, the following experience is essential:

  • Good knowledge of AP processing and experience within a similar role

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong IT proficiency 

  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload

  • Strong organisational skills
