Join An Established Team: Quantity Surveyor for Multi-Million £ Power Frameworks throughout Scotland

Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects in the power sector? We are seeking a talented individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to success in delivering multi-million-pound power frameworks for a major energy provider.

Projects are spread across Scotland, with locations such as Peterhead, Beauly, Dounreay, Crossaig and Glasgow. You could be based for an initial period at the head office on the outskirts of Glasgow, thereafter you may be expected to visit sites as and when necessary so being flexible to travel is a must in this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects within the power sector, ensuring cost control and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate cost forecasts, financial reports, and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Administer contracts and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters, resolving disputes and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or power industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
