Full Job Description



Our client are seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor with skills in affordable housing to join their team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration, and post-contract services in the affordable housing sector.




Responsibilities:




- Cost planning, estimating and budgeting for affordable housing projects


- Procurement of materials, services and subcontractors


- Tendering and contract administration


- Post-contract services, including valuations, variations, and final accounts


- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders


- Ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time


- Providing support to other team members as required




Requirements:




- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field


- Relevant experience in the affordable housing sector


- Strong numerical and analytical skills


- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


- Ability to work independently and as part of a team


- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
