Full Job Description

Castle Water are now recruiting for a Receptionist for the Boat Brae Office in Blairgowrie. The Receptionist is responsible for the efficient functioning of the front desk, entry to our Boat Brae office and performs a very wide range of administrative functions.,

  • Welcome guests and greet people who visit the business, directing them to the appropriate person and office.

  • Coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

  • Offer administrative support across the organisation and execute all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)

  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)

  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.

  • Receive, sort and distribute daily deliveries.

  • Liaise with and support Office Manager, including updating office expenses and costs, ordering office supplies and keeping inventory of stock.

  • Support Customer Service duties when not busy on Reception (training will be given)

  • Perform other duties as required.

    A good Receptionist will work across the organisation to ensure the smooth running of the business. The candidate should be organised, should communicate well, and should practice excellent time management skills. In addition, because they will be the initial contact for visitors to the site, they must have excellent customer service skills, be a problem-solver, and gracefully assist wherever possible., Our Receptionist salary starts at £21917.00.00 per annum, (dependent on experience) and we can promise you a hardworking and lively environment. The role will cover business operating hours from Monday to Friday (9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) The post would be suitable for applicants with confidence and initiative as well as the maturity required to take responsibility, make decisions and be confident of their own abilities and potential., Reliability and discretion: you will often learn of or overhear confidential matters

  • Adaptability and flexibility with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

  • Ability to use own initiative. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position

  • Good interpersonal and time management skills

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Good Microsoft package skills including Outlook and excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good teamworking skills and the confidence to liaise directly with other Office Admin staff

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
