Full Job Description

You'll become part of the Expert Property Team and will have sole responsibility for losses >£300k in Scotland and Northern Ireland. You'll ensure consistent delivery of the Claims Commitment to our internal stakeholders, Customers and Brokers. In addition to handling a portfolio of claims, you'll provide technical development to the wider Property line of business and establish an external profile through written publications or event attendance.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure delivery of the Claims Commitment.

  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members.

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.

  • Review and resolve own claims within technical limits, referring to senior UK, EMEA and Global stakeholders as required.

  • Managing Claims and Non-Claims stakeholders including, but not limited to, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance and Risk Engineering.

  • Develop sustainable relationships with key Brokers and Customers and support business acquisition and retention.

  • Develop effective relationships with service providers i.e., panel law firms and loss adjusters.

  • Develop a strong market presence through external publications or speaking at events.

  • Identify and embrace technological and sustainable solutions that enhance the claims journey.

    Significant experience of handling Property losses, ideally >£300k

  • ACII qualified or evidence of progression towards

  • Experience of coaching others

  • A team player with strong positive contribution at meetings

  • Evidence of market presence and network

  • Good knowledge of Property policies, products, and services

  • Ability to be Commercial and Customer focused

  • Competent with IT

  • An effective negotiator and influencer

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and managing change
