Full Job Description

· To assess, implement & evaluate Service User's care plans, risk management assessment and other assessment tools

· To promote confidentiality.

· To establish and maintain good relationships between Service Users, relatives and staff.

· To participate in the Service Users' activity programme.

· To administer and control drugs and medications as per the Company Policy, NMC and Health Authority guidelines.

· To undertake direct nursing care as necessary.

· To adhere to the Company's policies and procedures and to ensure subordinates are fully conversant with them.

· To allocate duties and tasks to Care Staff.

· To supervise the service of food and drinks to Service Users.

· To improve and update professional knowledge.

· To assist with training of all staff in the clinical area.

· To carry out other duties as well, from time to time, as directed.

· To carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, staff, Service Users and other persons.

· You will be required to attend all mandatory and statutory training including:

a) Fire, · You will be required to participate in developing a personal development plan twice a year.

· You will also be required to participate in supervision sessions every two months.

· It is the responsibility of all employees to ensure that the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act are complied with, safe working practices are adhered to and that any hazards observed are reported to the appropriate officer immediately.

· To establish and maintain the highest standard of care

· To supervise the performance of staff in the clinical area

· To promote the good reputation of the Home

· To deputise for senior nursing staff as required

· To be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council

· To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the aging process

· To demonstrate knowledge of the care planning and risk management process

· To demonstrate commitment to The Company's Equal Opportunities policy

· To demonstrate clear and concise communication skills

· To carry out individual care as per Service User's care plans.

· To continuously assess and monitor the "dependency" of Service Users., b) Handling and Moving

£20.50 an hour - Permanent, Full-time
