Full Job Description

Service: Regulatory Services

Closing Date: Thursday 23rd May 2024

The requirements of this post are to support the Environmental Health Manager to deliver a high quality service in environmental protection with an emphasis on the delivery of the functions associated with the regulation and enforcement of private water supplies and public health matters. Specific duties include:

1. To work as part of the Environmental Health Team, with particular reference to the following areas of work:

a. The investigation of private water supplies, with particular emphasis on risk assessment, sampling, investigating and enforcement.

b. The processing and administration of work associated with private water supplies.

c. Investigation of Environmental Protection and Public health complaints and associated administration.

d. Carry out follow up investigations at own discretion or as directed.

2. Other environmental health technical duties – e.g. investigation of complaints of statutory nuisance

 

This is a permanent post, 35 hours a week.
