Relief Archaeological Project Officer - ORCA

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£17.41 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate

The Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology (ORCA) wishes to add suitably qualified, well-motivated and experienced Archaeological Project Officers to its list of supply staff, to be responsible for safely undertaking and supervising all stages of archaeological projects, under the overall control of the Senior Project Manager.

The unit is housed within the Archaeology Institute of UHI Orkney, a partner in the UHI.
ORCA operates across the Highlands and Islands Region. It provides a wide range of archaeological services, both commercial and research based, to the islands and northern Scotland.

Applicants require a degree in Archaeology or related subject, along with significant demonstrable archaeological fieldwork experience. A full current UK driving licence is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
