Retail Shop Manager (Renfrew Street) / Retail Shop Manager (Gordon Street)

We are seeking 2 highly motivated and experienced Shop Managers to oversee our retail operations at either one of our branches both based in Glasgow city centre with one on Gordon Street and the other on Renfrew street. The Shop Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for sales, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Duties

-Plan, direct, supervise, manage, and evaluate the operations of a retail unit

- Supervise replenishment and preparation of shop displays

-Procurement of goods, stock taking, managing payments, credit arrangements, liaison with suppliers, always maintaining good stock levels

-Supervising health and safety compliance and security issues of the premises

-Planning budgets and authorise expenditures, Liaison with bank, accountants, Inland Revenue, and other external bodies.

-Preparing monthly sale reports, setting targets, and suggesting ways to achieve the set goal.

-Determine staffing requirements, acting as a team leader of the staff members, interviewing them training them, re-training them, assigning duties, overseeing performance, and arranging for temporary staff during peak times.

Must have considerable work experience in managing a retail unit and good customer service skills.
