We are currently recruiting for a new Retirement Plus Manager at Castlebrae Glebe.

The service provides care at home and housing support to individuals who live in their own homes and also includes delivery of a meal service.

  

The service operates from 7:00am until 10:00pm, Monday to Sunday.

The hours for this post are 35 hours per week, to be worked flexibly between 8.00am – 5.00pm across 5 days a week including weekends.

 

About The Role

You will be responsible, as Registered Manager, for the delivery of a high-quality retirement plus service tailored to meet the needs of tenants with additional support requirements. You will also be responsible for the high quality meal service, prepared and delivered by our staff, and for leading and managing the team and overseeing the day-to-day running of the development including:

- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care, support, and housing services within the framework of National Care Standards, Bield Policy and Procedures, the SSSC Codes of Practice and Care Inspectorate Quality Framework.

- Supporting tenants to sustain their tenancy.

- Lead, manage, and supervise the team to develop practice and support professional development.

- Ensure effective systems are in place to support a high-quality care service and adopted by everyone in the team.

- Effectively deploy staff ensuring care is delivered in a way that meets the needs of those receiving it, ensuring that the correct amount of appropriately skilled staff is on duty at all times.

- Work in partnership with those receiving care, their family, friends, and other professionals ensuring that there is a holistic approach taken which always puts the person at the centre.

 

About You

You will bring to the role a passion and commitment for delivering a service that has positive impact.

- Have strong leadership, communication, and management skills

- Have good time keeping, budget management, and organisational skills

- Have a genuine interest in, and, an open flexible approach to, the promotion of excellent standards of care for people

- Have experience of leading and managing a team of people within a care setting, supporting people who are experiencing cognitive decline, managing medication to individuals receiving care and effectively deploying staff to meet the needs of the service

- Have knowledge of and commitment to complying with National Care Standards and policies and procedure relating to care

- Be able to meet the requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for registration as a Manager in the Social Care Workforce within legislative timescales

- Hold the relevant professional qualifications suitable to hold maintain registration without conditions in the ‘supervisor’ category of registration for the social care workforce

- Excellent written and verbal skills.
