Full Job Description

  • Blending and packing coffee

  • Preparing and labelling coffee packaging


  • Picking orders, preparing for dispatch

  • Administration duties

  • Assisting in stock management

  • Assisting with record keeping

  • Cleaning of roastery

  • Calibration of equipment

  • Maintaining packing equipment

  • Responding to customer queries

  • Serving visitors who purchase directly from our roastery

  • Other general duties to support company activities

  • A driving licence is preferred but not essential

  • Support at external events, To avoid biased screening we use a blind recruitment process. The initial selection process is based on your answers to three questions, scored against criteria for the role.

    Have a experience of working with specialty coffee and a willingness to learn more

  • Be able to slot into a fast-paced work environment

  • Be organised and able to prioritise tasks whilst being detail focused

  • Have a great work ethic and be able to work efficiently to meet daily deadlines

  • Be confident in the use of online interfaces to support ordering functions

  • Have excellent customer service skills

  • Have great communication skills and be an excellent team player

  • Be ambitious for a career in specialty coffee

  • We are a team of individuals who are obsessed with coffee and by doing the right thing! Every coffee we source meets our ethical policies. Every bean is well considered, well sourced and carefully roasted. We don't sell anything that doesn't meet our QC tolerances. We're obsessed. We LOVE coffee!

    Dear Green is a multi award-winning, B Corp certified independent roastery. We supply businesses throughout the UK as well as directly to consumers.

    We are credited with pioneering a specialty coffee culture in Scotland and have brought the coffee community together through events like the Scottish Aeropress Championships, the Glasgow Coffee Festival and the UK Roasting Championship. We have supported our international network through the Coffee Roasters Guild. We take coffee pretty seriously and travel to origin annually. We have an AST and a Q Grader in our team. We are in our 13th year and have followed a journey of coffee excellence with environmental awareness with a community focus since we were founded in 2011.

    We have the opportunity to grow our production team and are on the lookout for someone with specialty coffee experience who may be looking to progress to a roastery role.
