Scottish Borders Salaried GP Vacancy 6 sessions

3 Partner, semi-rural Practice of 7000 patients in Jedburgh.

We are looking to expand and strengthen our clinical team.  We are a friendly, innovative practice based in the pleasant market town of Jedburgh.  We are an hour from Newcastle and just over this to Edinburgh and have excellent local facilities, schools and recreational opportunities. 

The right person will complement our existing Clinical Care Team, which consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, a Mental Health Nurse, 2 Health Care Assistants, support from Health Board First Contact Physiotherapist and Pharmacotherapy teams.

You may be newly or recently qualified or have a wealth of experience and knowledge, we are keen to build on your skills and integrate you in to our supportive multi-disciplinary team. 

  • Ideally 6 sessions per week, but can be flexible
  • Work closely with other clinicians to deliver excellent care
  • Varied day including patient telephone triage and face to face appointments
  • Contract based on BMA Model Contract
  • Specialist interests encouraged
  • No Out-Of-Hours
  • EMIS PCS clinical system and Docman paper-lite
  • Negotiable start date for the right candidate
  • Golden hello package may be available
  • 6-month period of mutual assessment.
