Full Job Description

Salaried GP

We are a friendly, motivated and well organised practice who very much work as part of a team, supporting each other to deliver high quality patient centred care. We are looking for a salaried GP to join the team of 6 Partners, 7 salaried GPs and 8 nurse practitioners due to retirement. Sessional commitment is flexible.

We have a large supportive MDT including pharmacy, first contact physios, occupational therapists, dementia and frailty nurses, mental health & wellbeing practitioners, womens health nurses and a well-integrated, highly functioning district nursing team. The unscheduled care is dealt with by our Duty team of which there is a Duty Doctor allocated to each session to separate scheduled and unscheduled work. We are a training practice and have a weekly Journal Club for clinicians ongoing learning in addition to annual study leave and have an informal Friday breakfast club. We offer a salary that is significantly above the national average, generous annual leave, private health care and golden hello for eligible candidates.

Lunchtime walks or runs are possible from the practice door into the local woods or by the river. We are located in Elgin on the beautiful Moray Coast with beaches, mountains, and great golf courses all on your doorstep, delivering care to our 22,500 patients in a semi-rural catchment. We benefit from close proximity to the local DGH and have a rural branch surgery in Rothes. There are good local transport links including Inverness airport which is only 31 miles away.
