Full Job Description

This is a fulltime post of 37.5 hours per week with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and is fixed term for 18 months.

The post holder will provide an effective and efficient administration and clerical service to the NHSGGC Scottish Stroke Care Audit (SSCA) process. This post involves effective liaison and pro-active communication with a range of consultant staff, nursing staff and inpatient wards, management, and with other NHSGGC Stroke Audit Coordinators.

The post is part of a small team of audit staff based at hospitals across NHSGGC collecting and inputting clinical data for the Scottish Stroke Care Audit.

The Scottish Stroke Care Audit is a nationally published audit of performance and includes reporting against the national targets for stroke. The post will provide data collection and input from stroke wards primarily within their designated sector. There will be a requirement to provide support to the other Stroke Care Auditors based across the other sectors. This post will be based within the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, however some travel across NHSGGC sites may be required on an as required basis.

The successful candidate will be educated to Standard Grade level and/or have equivalent relevant experience in a similar administrative role. Experience of the Health Service in Scotland and experience of data handling and/or involvement in audits is essential. The post holder should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have advanced word processing and computer literacy skills. A basic understanding of Stroke is desirable. The post holder must possess good time management and organizational skills
