Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is 22.3 hours, 3 days (Wednesday is mandatory, with the other 2 days negotiable with candidate).

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

Post Title: Sedation Dental Nurse-Band 5

Base: Royal Alexandra Hospital with cross cover location required for specialist clinical services

Duration: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to the post of a Qualified Sedation Dental Nurse on a permanent basis to support conscious sedation (intravenous IV & inhalation IS), General Anaesthetic (Adult and Paediatric) and all other clinical care for registered and unregistered patients with the Public Dental Service (PDS) in NHS GG&C.

The complex needs of patients cared for by the PDS requires dedicated individuals who can be flexible and meet the needs of these patients.

The post holder must be registered with the General Dental Council as a DCP and a qualified Dental Nurse with Dental Sedation Certificate.
