The shift pattern is Monday-Friday- Dayshift but could call for weekend working to support ward.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medical services at the QEUH for a highly motivated Charge Nurse to provide leadership and ensure that high quality, safe, effective, person centred care in our Acute General Medicine Ward.

On a daily basis you will be expected to lead the wider team supporting effective care planning and safe discharge. You will ensure appropriate learning opportunities are available for all staff, encouraging best practice to deliver a high quality of patient care at all times in line with NHS GGC Care Assurance Standards. You will be responsible to the Lead Nurse for clinical guidance & professional management. As Senior Charge Nurse the candidate will have 24/7 responsibility for the management of the ward and delivery of care assurance standards. You will demonstrate that you have effective leadership, communication and and organisational skills.
