We are looking for an experienced individual to join our talented team at NHS Fife.

We are one of the most dynamic health boards in Scotland, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 370,000 across the Kingdom of Fife.  We are rooted in the communities we serve and are driven by our vision to improve the health of our population by developing integrated healthcare services delivered thorough our highly talented and committed workforce.

We work with local people and partners across health, social care, and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

We can only do this with great staff who are encouraged and supported, which is why we invest in them, listen to them, make sure we are representative of our populations and that we foster their health and wellbeing.

We pride ourselves on being a vibrant, welcoming and friendly team that is made up of hardworking, talented and dedicated individuals who work towards a common goal of putting our patients at the heart of everything that we do. We are committed to our staffs experience and development and ensuring both our staff and patients experience the same compassion and empathy.

We now require a Senior Clinical Pharmacist for Medicine - Respiratory, who will work closely with the Respiratory multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective use of medicines, including biologics and other high risk medicines. This would include implementation and monitoring of clinical pathways for these treatments, including review of treatment in line with national guidance. You will assist in the clinical management of patients with chronic conditions, ideally working as an independent prescriber with a defined patient case-load, attending ward rounds and providing clinical input to the severe asthma MDT and Tuberculosis MDT meetings to maximise the pharmaceutical input into patient care. There will also be sessional commitment to the Admissions Unit as per other Senior Clinical Pharmacist posts.

As a team leader, you will help to guide a highly engaged multi-professional pharmacy team to transform the way we deliver pharmacy services in line with our core values of dignity and respect; care and compassion; openness, honesty, and responsibility; and quality and teamwork.

Reporting to the Lead Clinical Pharmacist - Medicine, you will also be expected to develop strong collaborative working relationships across the Medical directorate to optimise medicines and patient care.
