Full Job Description

Midlothian Council invites applications for the role of 'Senior Consultant Engineer' working as part of Road services based in Midlothian House Dalkeith.

You will join a diverse team delivering variety of roads projects to include construction, road safety and planning approvals often working collaboratively over various projects with both internal and external colleagues. Currently we are working on exciting projects such as urbanisation of routes, new carriageway construction, active travel to new school campus's and circa 100 RCC developments.

A degree in Civil Engineering or similar and willingness to work towards Chartered Civil Engineer status, Or extensive demonstrable experience supported by an HND etc.

Previous experience in Highway design, asset management and roads maintenance experience along with experience in the design of road safety and traffic management schemes.

Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office, or similar software packages, together with knowledge of relevant quality assurance systems is also essential.

Experience of staff management is desirable.

Full Time - Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £44,895.67 per annum.
