Full Job Description

  • Manage allocated multidisciplinary projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project requirements, customer satisfaction, and Morgan Sindall standards.

  • Provide engineering expertise and support to the project team, ensuring that projects are executed according to drawings and specifications.

  • Monitor works in progress and supervise subcontractors as required, ensuring accurate setting out and providing necessary information for commercial review.

  • Implement and monitor all project systems and procedures, ensuring effective operation and communication among all parties involved.

  • Maintain awareness of health and safety requirements, proactively ensuring compliance and keeping abreast of project status.

  • Offer technical advice and support, identifying and addressing training and development needs for self and others.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers, promoting a positive image of Morgan Sindall and monitoring supplier performance.

  • Provide key information for the commercial team, including re-measures and claims, and monitor labor and subcontractor activity., Role Summary: The Senior Engineer / Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects and teams to ensure successful delivery within scope, cost, quality, and schedule parameters. They will provide technical expertise, leadership, and proactive support throughout the project lifecycle, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

    General Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual with a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to fulfill the role of Senior Engineer / Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee various aspects of construction projects, demonstrating leadership, analytical thinking, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle., Degree or HNC/HND qualified in a relevant technical discipline.

  • Proven experience in managing construction projects and contractors.

  • Sound understanding of safety legislation, commercial issues, and construction practices.

  • Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card., Sets clear goals aligned with project objectives, driving consistent results and delivering quality performance.

  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and decision-making skills, questioning evidence to evaluate issues and make informed choices.

  • Communicates effectively, presenting information with clarity and confidence, and adapting communication style as needed.

  • Embraces change positively, contributing to change initiatives and considering the impact on self and others.

  • Works collaboratively within teams, demonstrating leadership by organizing and guiding as necessary.

  • Manages resources efficiently, creating plans, deploying resources effectively, and fostering continuous improvement.
