Full Job Description

  • Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac's 'Nine Golden Rules of Safety'

  • 'Live' our Petrofac Values/behaviours and apply them in day-to-day work

  • Be leading and exhibiting the right standards of behaviour and professionalism

  • Adherence and compliance with Petrofac Security policies for travel and technology

  • Adherence and compliance with the Petrofac BMS

  • Personnel Management

  • Be prepared to act as a mentor to consultants & technical staff on projects.

  • Operations Management

  • Support the Ops lead with weekly workload assignments of the team

  • Sales, Proposals and Tender Development

  • Support the Business Development Team in the identification and pursuit of sales and marketing opportunities

  • Support the Business Development Team in the preparation, and review of proposals/tenders in the area of expertise

  • Project Management

  • Comply with BMS processes for the project lifecycle i.e. from set up, through to execution and close out of work packages

  • Manage the project team, including contractors and vendors, to deliver technical projects in line with contract scope of work and budget

  • Assume responsibility for the financial and technical performance of the project

  • Provide periodic revenue forecasts and resource requirements

  • Technical Delivery

  • Have a detailed knowledge of, and deliver quality work the following areas of Inventory Optimisation, including:

  • Data definition standards for Inventory / Material Builds

  • Repair and spare strategies

  • Required spares template development and assignment

  • Project Stakeholder Engagement and Spare Process Definition

  • Spares data collection, validation & loading

  • Cataloguing and master Data

  • Equipment & Maintenance BoM

  • Inventory stocking recommendations

  • Spares Preservation and Maintenance

  • Familiarity with Risk Cost Analysis

  • Familiarity with relevant standards: ISO 55000 & ISO 8000

  • Familiarity with maintenance & reliability inc. OREDA & CAMA

  • Sound understanding and familiarity with the following maintenance and reliability data / processes.

  • MEL structure, core attributes and hierarchy

  • Equipment Criticality

  • Maintenance strategy methods inc. RCM, FMEA

  • Equipment Reliability analysis, inc. RCA

  • MAH, SCE identification and management, PS development

  • Operational Readiness

  • Maintenance planning and scheduling

  • Maintenance programme optimisation

  • Be part of a team or manage small teams delivering technical projects in line with contract Scope of Work and budget

  • Act as technical lead of individual project CTRs in area of own expertise. With responsibility for delivery, quality and resource. Providing progress and risk reporting to the Project Manager

  • Identify new work/project extension opportunities when supporting project delivery

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of techniques, best practices and statutory requirements appropriate to the business, through appropriate means, i.e. review of periodicals, attendance at conferences/user groups, etc.,

  • Work closely with clients to understand their issues and offer innovative cost-effective solutions

    Expected

  • 10 + years' experience in inventory optimisation in maintenance / MRO distribution / Inventory Data organisation

  • Have or working towards, corporate membership of a relevant Professional Institution

  • Experienced Project Manager


  • Preferred
  • Engineering Degree qualified preferred or HND in engineering discipline/experience as a discipline engineer

  • Highly computer literate with strong capability in the MS Office suite of programs, and excel / access / PowerBI in particular

  • Good interpersonal skills, able to establish and manage relationships with colleagues and clients

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to listen, engage, empathise and be decisive, offering solutions to client issues.

  • Represent Petrofac in a professional manner

  • Experience in managing professional staff and working in a team environment
