Your Purpose:

Do you enjoy a wide variety of tasks and projects? We are looking for someone versatile; you could be working on a small individual assignment or as part of a larger, multi-disciplinary team. You will enjoy working closely with clients on a range of demanding issues whilst helping to mentor and train more junior colleagues.

Overall, you get satisfaction from building relationships, with clients and with colleagues. You enjoy getting to know people, and working out how you can have a positive impact on them - whether that's delivering something that a client needs, or helping someone to progress within the organisation.

Examples of the types of work you will be involved in:

  • Supervising, developing, and mentoring others.

  • Leading technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects. This may be over a range of design phases, from optioneering through to detailed design.

  • Within our Net Zero Engineering Business, the mechanical team has a focus on diversifying the energy mix in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. This includes generation from gas, biomass and nuclear, natural gas cavern storage, hydrogen production & cavern storage, and industrial decarbonisation., The UK is the first major economy to legislate for a Net Zero target by 2050. To achieve this, our nuclear and clean energy teams are ensuring a mix of secure and sustainable energies that can meet our industry and lifestyle demands today, and in 30 years' time. We help to power our world through exciting new technologies and intelligent cybersecurity systems on projects that vary greatly in size, scope, and scale. So, you'll be creating the right safe and resilient systems across nuclear power, renewables, decarbonisation development, new builds and energy efficiency.
