Vacancy Information

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £23.40 - £26.13

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of appropriate relevant experience and qualifications and salary placed within the advertised scale.

Temporary until 31st December 2025.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, times to be agreed with successful candidate.
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

Job Details

To provide an advanced level of practice in Justice Social Work Services, providing a responsive and needs led social work service throughout East Lothian within the requirements of relevant legislation, national outcomes and standards, Council policies and guidelines.

Job Requirements

Education/Qualifications
Must hold a Degree in Social Work (or other recognised Social Work Qualification, ie. CQSW, Dip SW, CCETSW).

Must have a relevant post qualifying award and/or significant relevant knowledge/skills/ competencies to undertake the duties of the post with previous experience within a Justice Social Work setting.

Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Driving Licence
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle*

PVG/Disclosure Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
