This role line-reports to the Head of Quality & Business Improvement.Partnering closely and communicating effectively with sponsors, key stakeholders and subject matter experts across all levels of the organization to ensure that projects are executed successfully, achieving business objectives (such as OTD, Cost, Safety).The person in this role will be able to think both tactically and strategically to formulate the right approach.Main Duties: Primary authority on all quality related matters on assigned
programme(s)/areas of responsibilityInterfacing and communication with program and functional areas to support the goals of the businessConduct Quality Audits (product/product release/process/Supplier Quality/Supplier acceptance)Supporting external agency, accreditation body & customer auditsDefect investigation to identify and address root causeEnsure effective and timely closure of actions received from Audit NC's/internal 8D's/customer complaints and 8D'sProvide data to support bidsEnsuring that customer contractual requirements and Quality requirements are fully understood, met and flowed down to the required level, including suppliers and sub-contractorsPerforming First Article Reviews (FAR's) and qualification activities including internal and supplierParticipation in PFMEA's, design reviews and formal Gate reviewsMaintain quality records including SCAR's, 8D's, QCI and customer returns, complaints, audits and inspectionsEnsuring integrity of products, materials and processes to
satisfy business, customer and regulatory requirementsEffective and timely monitoring and status reporting for assigned programme(s)/areas of responsibilityIndependent test witnessing, evaluation / FAR's (on site or at suppliers) and product releaseApplication of statistical techniques to support the effective process managementHosting external agency, accreditation body and customer auditsManagement of Root Cause Corrective action to ensure timely and effective closureContinued awareness of external standards and regulatory requirementsLiaison with Configuration Management (CM) for product release.Ensure the business transitions to meet new regulations and Risk based approach to auditingFoster a culture of continuous improvementCandidate Requirements:Essential: Experience of teams in matrixed environments with the ability to influence othersStrong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
