Full Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with skills in private housing projects to join our Client's team in East Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing all aspects of cost management, from initial estimates to final accounts, and will have experience working on private housing projects.

Responsibilities:

- Managing all aspects of cost management on private housing projects, from initial estimates to final accounts
- Preparing and submitting tender documents, including bills of quantities
- Providing advice on procurement options and contract strategy
- Negotiating with contractors and suppliers
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Providing regular progress reports to senior management

Requirements:

- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, with a focus on private housing projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and procurement options
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to manage and mentor junior members of the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
