Full Job Description

Contract Scotland are working with an established main contractor based in Central Scotland to source a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a large new build project in Edinburgh. A prominent name in the Scottish construction industry, own client boasts an impressive project portfolio, and offers the chance to work across various sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
- Advising on all commercial reports; assuring valuations are maximised and paid on time.
- Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
- Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
- Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.
- Supporting junior members of the commercial team.

To be considered for this role, you will:
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant disciple.
- Have demonstrable commercial experience within a main contracting environment in the Scottish construction industry.
