Full Job Description

Peace Recruitment are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to contribute to a significant renewables project in the North of Scotland. As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of civil engineering works, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake site surveys, setting out, and measurement activities to ensure accurate implementation of engineering designs.

Monitor and manage site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and schedules.

Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other member of the site team to resolve technical issues and optimize project performance.

Implement robust health, safety, and environmental practices, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.

Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, contributing to the development of junior engineers and operatives.

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization, driving efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally within the renewables sector.

Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and industry-standard software packages.

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS).

Flexibility to work in remote locations and adapt to challenging weather conditions.

Valid driving license.
