Full Job Description

NHS Glasgow Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is the largest health system and teaching Board in Scotland with an annual budget of circa £3.9 billion (2022/23) it employs around 40,000 staff. We provide the full range of Acute, Mental Health, Community and Primary Care services to a diverse population of 1.2 million people in six local authority areas. Regional and national services are also provided across a range of clinical specialties.

The post holder will manage and provide an efficient, effective radiology service for the entire Clyde sector, providing assurances of high quality images and a safe environment, for staff and patients. In conjunction with the general management team you will assist with the delivery of National and local targets, such as waiting time guarantees, and internal organisation policy. It is essential you have

  • HCPC Registration (Mandatory)
  • D.C.R. or BSC in Diagnostic Radiography/Imaging Services
  • Relevant practical experience of 8 years post graduate also 3 years at Band 7 level or in charge of a specialist modality i.e. CT/Plain Film/MR
  • Evidence of recent CPD Knowledge
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the post
  • Understand the patient workflow of the department
  • Good knowledge of HIS, RIS, CR & PACS
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages/high degree of computer literacy
  • Extensive experience and understanding of imaging equipment
  • Working knowledge of HR issues.

The shift pattern is 9.00am to 5.00pm
