Full Job Description

Hutcheon Mearns are supporting our Oil Services client to recruit a Skillpool Accountant on a full-time basis. This is a maternity cover contract role and will run for the initial period of 15 months. The role will be based from our clients office in Westhill. Hybrid working and a competitive salary are on offer.

The Skillpool Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate financials for the Offshore Skillpool assigned to them. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, good SAP knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of detailed monthly management reports for assigned Skillpools. This will include variance analysis of actuals and forecasts including but not limited to Variance analysis of actuals and forecasts
  • Preparation of annual budget and calculation of white book rates (WBR) for assigned Skillpools
  • Monthly reconciliation of offshore travel costs within the Onboard Tracker system, liaising with relevant parties both internal and external to resolve any queries identified
  • Assist the finance team to ensure compliance with the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant stream (Finance/Accounting/Business)
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft products
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with all levels in the organisation, internal and external
  • Enhanced planning, problem-solving and organizational skills and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent analytical skills, and an ability to work with detail and high degree of accuracy
