Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Friday.

An exciting opportunity within NHSGGC Dietetic Service for a specialist Band 5 clinical rotation dietitian. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of a clinically effective dietetic service in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Clinical rotations are across the division including Adult Acute: Oncology, Rehabilitation /Neurosciences, Surgery/critical care, Respiratory/Medical/Gastro and the Pharmacy Services Prescribing Support Unit (PPSU).Delivering care in accordance with Service Standards, National Professional Standards of Practice and the Health and Care Professions Council Standard of Conduct Performance and Ethics.  There are 10 rotations and each rotation is for 12 months.

Applicant requires minimum education to BSc Dietetics qualification, registration with Health Care Professionals Council and clinical experience in a graduate band 5( or equivalent) dietetic post, member of British Dietetic Association and PVG membership scheme / Disclosure Scotland.

At the interview, you will be required to give a 10-minute presentation to Discuss clinical supervision in a specialist rotation dietetic post.

The interviews will be in person at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Wednesday the 15th of May 2024.
