Speciality Doctor in Sexual Health

4.25 sessions per week, negotiable 

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our successful team to support the progression and integration of the service in line with the National Sexual Health Strategy.   

NHS Dumfries & Galloway serve a population of 147,000 in a predominantly rural area spanning some 2,500 square miles.   

The successful applicant will have good communication skills and be part of a multidisciplinary team that aims to expand the provision of Sexual Health Services across Dumfries and Galloway.  

It is essential to have the DFSRH, LOCSDI, LOCIUT and experience of complex contraceptive problems and management of Sexually Transmitted Infections in a Sexual Health/GUM clinic or equivalent. 

Involvement in provision of Forensic service, (SARC) to support the sexual assault and referral centre at Mountainhall Treatment Centre. To undertake clinical and forensic duties in the Sexual Assault Service, training will be given. 

Flexibility is expected in terms of working hours to deliver Clinical Services.  Family friendly policies and flexible working policies are in place and the department encourages a healthy work-life balance.
