Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is rotational day and night shift.

Band 5 Staff Nurse position within Older Peoples Services Ward 30 (18 beds), Glasgow Royal Infirmary. 

Your role within the nursing and multi-disciplinary team is to provide safe, effective, person centred care to our patient group. You will be NMC registered with the necessary technical skills and underpinning knowledge for you to competently assess, plan, implement and evaluate care whilst maintaining high standards. You will provide clinical leadership as you co-ordinate care and participate in empowering conversations with patients, relatives, carers and significant others. You will practice in an open, transparent and inclusive manner that is evidence based and person centred at heart.

It is essential that you are currently a nurse registered with the NMC with some post registration experience.
