Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is rotational 12 hour shifts.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to join our Acute Stroke Team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Ward 62 is a Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit caring for 27 patients.

We are looking for a forward thinking individuals to join a team of established Nurses, therapist, clinicians.

Applicants for this role will have a keen interest in caring for acutely unwell patients, combined with developing services within stroke.

You will be joining a well-motivated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team, who excel in the delivery of the highest level of care possible, and be part of a forward thinking ward - committed to team working for the benefits of patients.

You will contribute to the provision of specialist nursing care for stroke patients, practicing within the multidisciplinary team and providing high quality and individualised care to our patients who have been diagnosed with a stroke or Transient Ischaemic Attack, in line with local and national targets.

We strive for clinical personal development with career development opportunities. You will be fully supported by Senior Charge Nurse, Charge Nurses and Practice Educator to tailor learning opportunities to your needs with in the ward.

You should be enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated with a real interest in this specialty.

We are looking for good team players with excellent written and oral communicators.

Mixture of full-time + part-time hours available i.e. 37.5/34.65/23.10hrs 12hr rotational shift pattern.
