The Post: 
Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), a Strategic Business Unit within NSS, plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in manufacturing, product development, biomedical research and donor services.  Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of donor and patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.
In support of this, the SNBTS Procurement department, reporting to National Procurement (NP) and based at the Headquarters of SNBTS, provides a comprehensive range of procurement and stores support services to SNBTS operations, including an onward distribution service to NHSS Pharmacies of finished plasma products. 
An opportunity has now arisen within the Procurement Department for a Storekeeper to join the team at their warehouse in the national HQ site at The Jack Copland Centre, Edinburgh. The post holder will be part of a small team of storekeepers providing a high-quality storekeeping service to the SNBTS National Centre Manufacturing, specialist laboratories, donor and patient services teams.
Covering all duties required of a storekeeper whilst working within the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). These duties will Include receipting, picking and issuing of stock, Stock checks, filling out documentation timeously and correctly.  Loading and unloading of vehicles, use of mechanical handling equipment including the use of counterbalance forklift, use of the electronic stock management system. Keeping the warehouse and associated areas clean and tidy.

The Candidate:
We have a great opportunity available for individuals with Warehouse, storage, distribution experience. We are a small inclusive team where everyone is essential and where everyone plays a positive part in the operation of the stores service. 

You will be a reliable team player, motivated and can work well on your own. You will be able to demonstrate relevant experience ideally within a storekeeping/warehouse department of a multi-functional organisation.

Location and Working Pattern:
Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, The Jack Copland Centre, 52 Research Avenue North, Heriot-Watt Research Park, Edinburgh, EH14 4BE

Work pattern - Monday to Thursday 08.30am 4.30pm, Friday 08:30 4.00pm 37 hours per week. 

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
