Do you feel strongly about making a difference to our local communities? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Streetscene team.

Opportunities have arisen working out of one of the following depots; Wardpark Cumbernauld, Garrell Road Depot Kilsyth, Souterhouse Coatbridge, Canyon Road Wishaw.

With previous experience of maintaining grassed open spaces, shrub and flower bed maintenance you will have used various items of grass cutting equipment such as pedestrian machinery, hand and self-propelled, as well as petrol strimmers and understand the importance of health and safety when carrying out your duties.

You should be able to undertake physical duties including manual handling of heavier types of materials or labouring work. You will be a positive and enthusiastic individual with a responsible nature and have a courteous manner when dealing with the public. You should also be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

You will require a driving licence and the ability to travel independently to site, with licence categories B&E/C+E advantageous or the willingness and commitment to work towards achieving your driving licence which will be supported financially by the service. Possession of spraying certificates PA1, PA2 and PA6 would be an advantage.

You will require a satisfactory outcome to Hand Arm Vibration and Audiometric Testing.

The hours of work will be:

Week 1: 7.15am-5.00pm Monday to Thursday

Week 2: 7.15am-5.00pm Tuesday to Friday
