Full Job Description

To provide assistance, support and guidance to our service users., Empower every child and young person to achieve their full potential, ensuring their overall well-being within an inclusive and nurturing environment., Follow support plans based on specific needs and goals of each child and young person.

- Organise and deliver appropriate activities to encourage skill development and personal growth.

- Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.

- Regularly report and discuss with the Line Manager work related issues.

- Monitor, record and evaluate weekly Outcomes and individual progress.

- Maintain documentation and records relative to working practices.

- Ensure the well-being and safety of children and young people through careful monitoring and timely intervention.

- Implement health and safety protocols in line with company's guidelines.

- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people, promoting a positive and inclusive community attitude.

- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality to the children and young people, parents/carers and KO-NEKT.

- Be professional at all times and maintain good practice when dealing with children and young people, parents/carers, professionals and the general public.

- Stay informed about current best practices and participate in internal and external training opportunities to ensure continuing professional development.

- Share knowledge with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of support services.

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

    KO-NEKT provides 121 support within the community and group support within specifically designed Play & Skills Centres for children & young people (age 5-25) with Additional Support Needs (ASN). We fully support the integration and independence of our service users by championing their rights and to be the best they can be, supporting them to live, work and stay in the mainstream of their communities.

  • (PLEASE NOTE: we work with children after school and weekends during school term and during the day, evenings and weekends during holiday periods.)

    You may be asked to work across both 1:1 support services and KO-NEKT group support services. Applicant MUST be able to drive and have own car, post also requires you to obtain business class insurance.

    Applicants please note that a degree of flexible working is required for this post over a 7 day period 8am till 8pm each week. Rotas and work hours will be agreed in advance, although emergency situations occur frequently due to the nature of the childs needs and working times can and will change.,
