Full Job Description

This is an exciting time to join our existing team of sexual violence support workers offering trauma-informed psychosocial education and emotional support to young people who have experienced child sexual abuse and their families. Studies show that women and Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic people are less likely to apply for a job unless they meet every criterion. We welcome applications from all minority groups, including people with disabilities and people who are neurodivergent. What we are looking for. You will already have or be working towards: Experience delivering direct one to one support to children aged 5-18 who have experienced trauma, and ideally experience of working with survivors of rape, historic childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault. Ability to deliver direct support to families who have experienced trauma. Ability to build effective relationships with other agencies e.g. schools and social service A flexible and adaptable approach, coupled with the ability to manage own diary, prioritise workload to meet deadlines. This role is primarily based in North Ayrshire and the successful candidate will need to be able to travel independently around the county. Why should you want to work with us?
