Full Job Description

Are you a fun and honest individual who loves going the extra mile to improve the lives of others?

Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported?

If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you've been looking for!

We are currently looking for a part time Female Support Worker for 20 hours per week.

In Denny, we support one lady to live independently in her own flat. The lady we support has a learning disability, Autism and mental health concerns, so we are looking for individuals who have previous experience supporting an individual with Autism and can encourage and support her to become more independent.

In the past, the lady we support has faced a lot of challenges but has been living in her own home for over two years. She continues to learn new skills every day and enjoys socialising, listening to Abba, getting dressed up and pampered, going to lunch club and going out to a nightclub once a month with her friends.
As well as the activities the person we support enjoys, our team also support her with:

  • Medication

  • Cooking

  • Assisting with personal care

  • Supporting her to maintain her home and finances

  • The current shift pattern here is from 10am - 10.30am the next day (includes sleepover). We also provide some 2:1 support during the day, but the shifts for this can change depending on what the lady we support wishes to do.
  • Section 7(2b) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies that there is a genuine occupational requirement for female staff for these positions.

She likes people who are reliable and honest, so that she can build trust and know that you have her best interests at heart.

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It's exciting and rewarding work, and we're full of pride and passion for what we do.

  • Since the early days, we've grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of 'Your Life, Your Choice' and our strategy 'Best Lives Possible'.

We have strong values and we're proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going 'the extra mile' for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
